Shine Jewelry recognizes the importance of climate awareness and action. Even as a small jewelry business, we know we play a role and have a duty to do what we can to mitigate and prevent further damage to our planet, in the small ways that we can. Here are a few of the ways we're trying to help, and how you can join in on these efforts:

    We don't like wasting materials. Starting immediately, we are accepting donations of jewelry and jewelry materials, to be reused in new products. This is your chance to do your part, and in exchange for your donation, enjoy 15% off your next order.

  • vintage

    Speaking of second life, we proudly search for vintage beads and findings that can be used in new projects. We enjoy sourcing rusted, rejected, and relegated beads and making them shine again.

  • one-of-a-kind

    We are really against throwing away beads; it hurts our soul. Sometimes this means we have enough beads for a single bracelet, if that. But you could look at it more like an opportunity to stand out.

  • Bead Bucket

    Not all of our vintage beads can be used in our products. When we only have a few left, a type that doesn't work with our designs, or are just feeling generous, we send them to the Bead Bucket. As the name so creatively suggests, it's a bucket full of beads. Bead Bucket Kits, containing completely random scoops from the bead bucket and a small roll of string, are now available for purchase. Now you have no excuse! Get creative and environmentally friendly.

    Something as simple as ensuring that our packaging is either reuseable or recyclable can make a difference, because the little things add up. We try to avoid plastic, and we love the idea of reusable packaging living a second life after the fact.
